Atlanta

Learn how to effectively manage your fundraising efforts - even with limited resources.

Free
90 minutes

The success of every nonprofit organization is greatly dependent upon its fundraising efforts. In today’s climate of economic uncertainty, professional and personal downsizing, and doing more with less, fundraising can be particularly challenging - especially if you are the sole person responsible for raising money at your institution. This presentation will demonstrate how to develop an effective fundraising strategy when faced with both limited funds and limited staff. This interactive workshop covers strategies to help develop and manage:

  • Fundraising plan essentials
  • Prospect research
  • Direct mail/solicitation
  • Major gifts/planned giving
  • Special events
  • Leadership involvement

Presenter: Joy Graham, Managing Director at Livingston, Graham & Martin

Joy Graham has held various positions in nonprofit management over the past twelve years – most recently as a philanthropy consultant for nonprofit and business entities throughout the country. Through her consulting, Joy has also, at various times, held interim positions with different types of nonprofit organizations which combine her professional accounting and nonprofit expertise to manage fundraising, stewardship and financial systems for smaller organizations.

Joy’s increasing responsibilities in the nonprofit sector have included accounting, organizational development, marketing and communications, fundraising, training, and event planning. She knows first-hand the nuances of working on a development team with a multi-million dollar budget as well as working with minimal staff and minimal funds. She has effectively mastered applying big-budget strategies to low-budget initiatives, and enjoys sharing her knowledge to build stronger nonprofit organizations in every community.
