This course will teach you how to take the best approach in soliciting these gifts.
Presenter: Betsy Baker, President, The Grant Authority Betsy Baker is president of the Grant Authority, a web-based enterprise that offers beginning, intermediate, and advanced grant writers tools to succeed in their grant writing endeavors. She offers insight on grant prospect research, tips on preparing organizations in becoming "grant ready", and presentation of grant writing training courses. She also offers a step-by-step guide on how to become a grant writing consultant. Ms. Baker has almost twenty years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Some of her career highlights include serving as Regional Associate Director for the American Heart Association and Director of Development for a multi-hospital system in Alabama where she was responsible for implementation of a corporate donor giving program and solicitation of major gifts. She has spent the past eight years as a grant writing consultant and has helped raise approximately $10 million in grant funding for deserving organizations.
