How can you, as a photographer, undertake a public art project? Or how can you, as a commissioning organization, think about photography as a public art medium? Join us for a presentation of local, national, and international public art projects – both temporary and long-term – which incorporate lens-based art in innovative ways. A visual presentation of traditional and non-traditional approaches to public art practice and photography will be followed by a panel discussion among photographers, artists who use photography, curators, fabricators, and administrators. Learn about some of the many opportunities, resources, materials and vendors available to photographers in the public art field.
